This was a story shared with us by Elena Garcia, owner of Elegar Lashes on Instagram (@elenabgarcia) and it reminded us that many people are new to the Soy way of life, so in this blog post we will be exploring the benefits of soy candles, but first, let's see what they had to say.
"Let me tell you my story with the candles that I’ve been using lately: I have used many different brands of candles, and I don’t know why many of them would turn black all around the glass and when I blow them off a horrible smoke comes out. I always followed the instructions and cut the rope before turning them on! But the last time the, the fire alarm went on! I opened the windows to let the smoke out for a while, I closed them before I went to bed and I woke up with my nostrils covered in black! I was absolutely terrified! That must have been so toxic for the body as it was all over, and the walls have gone a bit grey too.
When I was doing research to support black-owned businesses, I came across this brand and someone also suggested trying soy candles, as they burn better.
I finally found my favourite candles! Home Jewels Co the smell is absolutely amazing, very intense, and love that they are handmade. Definitely will be looking for soy candles from now on and trying to support a black-owned business.”
