How to safely and effectively use wax melts

Wax melt fragrances

Whether you’re a home fragrance enthusiast or looking to spruce up your living space, wax melts are the perfect solution for creating your ideal aroma. With dozens of scents to choose from, you’ll always find something that speaks to you at Home Jewels Co. From floral, woody and bakery scents, to clean and fresh aromas, these aromatic wax melts will fill your home with long-lasting fragrance.

The next step is to choose the right fragrance for your home. If you’re using wax melts for the first time, it’s best to choose a scent that’s subtle and doesn’t overpower the atmosphere. Vanilla is a classic choice and is one of our most popular wax melt scents. You can experiment with different scents like lavender, banana bread, honey & oud or mix and match to customise the scent to match your home according to the season or mood.

Wax melt safety

When it comes to wax melts, safety is important. Ensure you place your wax warmer on a heat-resistant surface and never leave it unattended. And if using a candle-lit wax warmer, do not exceed 4 hours to preserve the wax melt scent for longer. Whereas electric burners can be left on for up to 10 hours at a time.

Whether you’re using electric wax warmers or candles, ensure that you’re in the same room and that you can see what’s happening; and make sure you switch off the wax warmer before bed and check for any hot spots on the warmer. With some wax warmers, you can also control the intensity of the heat and the amount of fragrance coming out of them.

Wax warmer tips

When you’re ready to start, place the warmer and your Home Jewels Co wax melts on a heat-resistant surface. Choose a wax melt scent you like and place it in the warmer. Plug in the warmer and let the wax melt begin to melt. Using electric warmers, you may be able to adjust the rate of wax melting and the intensity of the fragrance. Most warmers come with an adjustable timer, so you can control the length of time during which the wax will melt.

After the wax is melted, you can add more to your warmer and replace the scents to match the season or mood. Make sure you switch off the warmer when you, 're done and let the wax cool down before you clean and store it away.

Wax melts are a fantastic addition to your home fragrance arsenal. When used safely and in moderation, wax melts will keep your home fragrant and cosy. With the right techniques and scents, you can bring new life to your living space and liven up every room with delicious aromas.
